Saves The Day Picture
This Princeton, N.J., band got together when its members were 13, signed a label deal while still in high school, and went on to sell thousands of records, tour with Blink-182and Weezer, and land songs on the playlist of Los Angeles’ KROQ. Saves the Day’s new album, SOUND THE ALARM was released April 11, 2006 on Vagrant Records. Saves The Day’s album, In Reverie (released Sept. 16, 2003, on DreamWorks Records), finds their creativity in full flower. Singer-songwriter-guitarist Chris Conley’s lacerating, frequently existential lyrics provide sharp counterpoint to his sweet melodic sensibility as the band exercises their penchant for a variety of rock, punk and pop hooks.

Saves The Day

And its not fair-why do I have to be so?
Oh I feel everything much more-
Much more than you ever will
And its too hard when I cant even catch your eye
So I cant send you messages
And at night I dream of reasons that I cant let you go
But I dont know if its time to crack through your walls so thick that I cant see past you
And last summer wasnt enough for me
And now that winter comes the cold beats harder
And no one is left alone and Im offering you me right now-
Take me Im yours
And I wont have it any other way
So dont let fools be carried by what I say because the night keeps looking our way
And youre not seeing what Im missing cause I am missing you
And I think that we should run as fast as we can into what we dont know-
Its time to let me in because I feel just fine.
