Saves The Day Picture
This Princeton, N.J., band got together when its members were 13, signed a label deal while still in high school, and went on to sell thousands of records, tour with Blink-182and Weezer, and land songs on the playlist of Los Angeles’ KROQ. Saves the Day’s new album, SOUND THE ALARM was released April 11, 2006 on Vagrant Records. Saves The Day’s album, In Reverie (released Sept. 16, 2003, on DreamWorks Records), finds their creativity in full flower. Singer-songwriter-guitarist Chris Conley’s lacerating, frequently existential lyrics provide sharp counterpoint to his sweet melodic sensibility as the band exercises their penchant for a variety of rock, punk and pop hooks.

Sound The Alarm Lyrics

Saves The Day

I don't know where to go ain't no light along the road
I'm stumbling under the stars above
Somehow feel someone stare turn to find nobody there
Never knowing if I'm all alone
Cause paranoia is the only friend that I know
And everybody else is gone
Their eyes are burning into my heart
The falling feeling fear I can't go one
And nobody will sound the alarm
They're all out late at night sitting by the fire side
Plannign how to bury me alive
And when I'm gone they'll all laught about how I died
In darkness of my mind
I hear a voice that seems to sigh,
"I'm gonna die before I save myself."
